Shower Filter

Will the AQVO Shower Filter fit my shower?
Yes — the AQVO Shower Filter is designed to fit 99% of standard Australian shower fittings. It installs between your existing shower arm and shower head. If your fitting is non-standard, contact us and we'll help you find a solution.

How do I install it?
Installation takes under 5 minutes and requires no tools and no plumber. Simply unscrew your existing shower head, hand-tighten the AQVO filter onto the shower arm, then reattach your shower head onto the filter. A full installation guide is included with every order.

Will it affect my water pressure?
No. The AQVO Shower Filter is engineered to maintain full water pressure under normal Australian household conditions.

How often do I need to replace the cartridge?
We recommend replacing the filter cartridge every 3 months for a household of 1–3 people, or every 2 months for larger households. Replacement cartridges are available in the AQVO store.

What does it actually filter out?
The AQVO Shower Filter reduces chlorine (95%+), chloramines, heavy metals (including lead, mercury, and iron), THMs, rust, sediment, and hydrogen sulphide. Full lab testing details are available on our Our Science page.

Is it safe for children and sensitive skin?
Yes. Removing chlorine and heavy metals from shower water is particularly beneficial for children and anyone with sensitive skin, eczema, or scalp conditions. Our filters are designed for whole-family use.

Tap Filter

Will the AQVO Tap Filter fit my tap?
The AQVO Tap Filter is compatible with 95% of standard Australian tap fittings (standard threaded). If you have a non-standard fitting, contact us before ordering and we can advise.

Do I need a plumber to install it?
No. The tap filter screws directly onto your existing tap in under 3 minutes — no tools, no plumber, no permanent modifications. It's designed specifically to be renter-friendly.

How long does the tap filter cartridge last?
Approximately 2–3 months depending on water usage and local water quality. For a household of 2–3 people using the filter for drinking and cooking water, 2 months is typical.

What does the tap filter remove?
The AQVO Tap Filter reduces chlorine, chloramines, heavy metals (lead, copper, mercury), PFAS/PFOA, microplastics, rust, sediment, pesticide residues, and taste/odour compounds. It removes 80+ contaminants in total.
