The filter-life display runs on the water flow itself — a built-in hydropower propeller generates its own power as you use the tap. Nothing to charge, nothing to replace; it just tracks your cartridge life and shows when it's time for a new one.

Chlorine taste & odour · scale controlA carbon rod with a built-in scale inhibitor: it reduces chlorine taste and odour from treated mains water while slowing limescale build-up inside the filter — particularly useful in harder-water areas. Replacements are $38 delivered, and the display tells you exactly when it's time.

How the filtration works
Free-chlorine reduction
Chemical reaction at carbonFree chlorine reacts at the carbon surface and is reduced to chloride ions. This helps reduce chlorine taste and odour.

Adsorption inside pores
General activated-carbon principleCertain dissolved organic molecules can attach to the large internal pore surface. This is adsorption; it is separate from chlorine reduction.

Scale inhibition
Built into the compositeDesigned to slow limescale build-up inside the filter. Scale inhibition limits deposition; it does not mean calcium and magnesium are removed.

General physical-filtration principlePorous filters can retain particles larger than their flow passages. Capture depends on pore structure and particle size; AQVO lists no tap micron rating.

Why contact time matters
Water needs contact with the carbon surface. Performance depends on flow rate, water chemistry and cartridge use.
Follow the rated filtered flow: approximately 1.0 L/min.
And chloramines?
Chloramines are different from free chlorine. Their reduction depends on carbon type, contact time and water conditions. Free-chlorine performance figures do not apply to chloramines.

The honest bit
We'd rather under-promise than overstate.
It's built for municipal tap water at 0.1–0.4 MPa. Chlorine taste and odour reduction and scale control are well established. We deliberately make no "direct-drinking", purification or virus-removal claims, because those depend on your supply — it's a final polish at the tap, not a purifier, and it's not intended to make unsafe water safe.
