AQVO adds a final point-of-use filtration layer at the tap or shower — for people who want to reduce chlorine odour, improve everyday taste, and enjoy a more comfortable water experience at home.

What's in Australian Tap Water?

Before water reaches your home, it's treated and disinfected to protect public health — including through pipes, storage tanks and local distribution networks.

Chlorine or chloramine is commonly used in this process. A small residual can remain at the tap, which is important for safety, but some people notice chlorine taste, odour, or a different feel in the shower — particularly during long, hot showers.

AQVO is designed to work with treated Australian mains tap water — not replace municipal water treatment.

How AQVO Filters Work

AQVO uses a multi-stage filtration approach, combining media selected for Australian mains tap water conditions.

KDF-55 — A copper-zinc redox media commonly used to support chlorine reduction. Well-suited to shower filter applications because it performs effectively in warmer water.

Calcium Sulphite — A filtration media used to help reduce chlorine, including in warm water conditions where other media types can be less effective.

Activated Carbon — Widely used in drinking water filtration to help improve taste and odour by adsorbing chlorine by-products and selected organic compounds, subject to water conditions and contact time.

Sediment Filtration — Designed to capture fine particles such as rust, silt and debris that may enter water through pipework or plumbing systems.

Our No-Overclaiming Commitment

Many water filter brands make sweeping contaminant-removal claims. We don't.

Every claim AQVO makes is supported by product design, supplier specifications, engineering principles or verified testing. We do not claim to remove PFAS, microplastics, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, fluoride, pesticides, pharmaceuticals or other medical contaminants unless product-specific testing supports that claim.

Testing & Verification

We're building a transparent testing profile for our products. Where independent results are available, we'll make them clear and easy to understand.

Until product-specific testing exists for a contaminant, we won't make removal claims for it. Simple as that.
